Lavender bush - plant

$34

Botanical name: Lavandula
Common names: Lavender

This sun-loving shrub is known for its beautiful aromatic leaves and purple blooms. The lavender plant will blossom during the warmer months, and can be brought indoors during the wintertime.

    Light

Bright, full direct light. Lavender plants need hot and bright light to blossom.

Tip: To increase chances of blooming, place your lavender plant outdoors during the warmer months.

    Water

Less is more! Lavender plants do not like soggy soil. Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Not sure when to water? Just follow the finger dip test.

Tip: Water directly onto the soil and around the foliage to avoid mold and pest infestations.

    Food

Feed twice a year during the beginning of the spring and the end of the summer.

    Climate

Unlike tropical houseplants, lavender thrives in low humidity and moderate temperatures.

Tip: If your plant spends the summers outdoors, make sure you give it some time to acclimate when brought indoors.

    Pet friendly

No- keep away from pets (can cause irritation if ingested)
